Session Fees

The fee for a first appointment, or intake, which is 60 minutes in duration is $275. The fee for subsequent 50-minute psychotherapy sessions is $240.

Please note: The fee for a 60 minute (longer for some modalities) therapy sessions is $275.

Certain modalities, like Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and EMDR typically require longer sessions or have additional components (E.g. access to phone coaching with DBT) and fees are reflective of this. If you are seeking these services, we will discuss your specific needs, and I will ensure that all associated fees are clear before initiating treatment.

Fees are due at the start of sessions and can be paid by online bank transfer (e.g., Zelle), cash, check or credit card.

Sliding Scale

A limited number of sliding scale appointments are available to those in need, based on income. Sliding scale fees start at $150 and go up from there. I am happy to discuss your individual situation.

Insurance

I am an in-network provider with Columbia University’s Aetna Student Insurance and am Out of Network with all other plans.

A percentage of therapy service fees are reimbursed by many insurance plans that offer out-of-network benefits.  I will provide a monthly statement or superbill at the end of the month that can be submitted to your insurance carrier for reimbursement.

If you are planning to request out of network reimbursement, please consult with your insurance provider in advance to determine your plan benefits.  Helpful questions to ask include:

• Does my plan cover out-of network mental health services?
• Are there any restrictions on provider type, or on the type of services covered? (I am happy to provide you specific service codes if this would be helpful)
• Is there a limit on the number of covered therapy sessions per year?
• How much is my deductible for behavioral health services?
• After I have met the deductible, what is the reimbursement rate (may also be referred to as coinsurance)?
• Do I need a referral or pre-authorization?
